14 Jul, 2021

Since 2016, Parramatta Leagues Club has been a proud supporter of the Rotary Clubs of Parramatta. On Monday 21st June, that support was demonstrated by sponsoring the Inaugural 2021 Rotary Parramatta Vocational Excellence Awards held at Rydges Parramatta. These awards celebrate excellence and outstanding achievements in the workplace throughout the Parramatta area.

Parramatta Leagues Club Board Members Darren Adam, Mark Jenkins, Sue Coleman, Joy Cusack, Acting CEO Chris Dimou and Marketing Manager Sarah Young joined Paramatta’s Lord Mayor Cr Bob Dwyer, Lady Mayoress Jenny Dwyer, Rotary Club of Parramatta President Paula Jesse as well as an illustrious gathering of community leaders.

The sold-out event awarded local employees who have demonstrated significant workplace contributions, outstanding workmanship, high quality of service, generous work ethic, selfless dedication, professionalism, and commitment to improving the community and the evening also raised a staggering amount of money.

A highlight of the fundraiser was a live auction. Parra Leagues donated a fully signed Parramatta Eels jersey that saw the hammer fall at $1,400 as well as a Parra Leagues Bankwest Stadium Corporate Suite package including a full food and beverage bundle for any Parramatta Eels home game of their choice with the hammer falling at $1,100.

This event raised a total of $23,853.51, which was donated to Thelma Brown Cottages and The Parramatta Women’s Shelter.
